Explore North Norfolk and Local Attractions from Fishermans Cottage

Our cottage is located in Wells-next-the-Sea, a port town on the North Norfolk coast. Despite its location and easy access to many of the wonderful things to do in Wells, it remains in a quiet position and away from the crowds. It is on the doorstep of many beautiful sites with a wealth of experiences to be had locally, below we list our favourites.

Norfolk CoastWells-next-the-Sea is famous for its stunning beaches complete with scores of beach huts where days can be enjoyed by all. It takes approximately 20 minutes to walk to Wells beach (which is dog friendly, as is nearby Holkham beach). There is also a fabulous train ride taking you from the centre of wells to the beach if you wish (please check running times) as well as a pay and display car park a minutes walk from the sea-front. In addition to the beautiful beaches, Wells has a truly splendid quay area for crab fishing or to enjoy your fish and chips watching the sunset. The much anticipated return of the 'Albatross' will bring further entertainment to this spot!
